Fla beats Lokomotiv in beach soccer

This Sunday (06.05), at Arena da Gàvea, Flamengo's main beach soccer team defeated Lokomotiv Moscow, from Russia, by 7 to 5, in an international friendly, in preparation for the World Cup. Anderson (3), Benjamin Sousa (3) and Casé scored for Mengão.
In a very even match, against the Russian national team—the reigning World Cup champions—Flamengo prevailed and secured victory with grit and precision. Flamengo captain Casé acknowledged the opponent's high level and the difficulty of the match.
"Lokomotiv is a very strong team, but we knew how to set up the plays calmly to come away with the victory," said Casé.
The Flamengo team is preparing to compete in the II Club World Cup, which will take place from May 12th to 19th at the Guarapiranga Arena in São Paulo. Next Saturday (May 12.05th), the team from Gávea will face Barcelona in the competition at 11:45 am.
