Flamengo's president scored another stunning goal. Patricia Amorim joined the "1 Goal for Education" campaign last week and will lend the club's image to the project. The goal is to harness the power of football worldwide to form a large support network for the cause, which already includes 61 countries and several sports personalities, with a single goal: ensuring quality public education for all. Worldwide, an estimated 72 million children are out of school.

In Brazil, the official launch will take place at the Maracanã Stadium on May 31st, with the presence of Sports Minister Orlando Silva, authorities, directors, and current and former stars. Until the end of the year, campaign activities will be held on match days of partner clubs, such as Flamengo.

"It's always important to support causes like this. Flamengo is a huge company and needs to use its brand to contribute to improving education in Brazil. I hope more institutions join the campaign," said Patricia Amorim.

The campaign is promoted by the non-profit organization ActionAid, the National Campaign for the Right to Education, UNESCO and Athletes for Citizenship, who hope to gather 1 million signatures through an online petition in favor of more planning and investment in education.
