“Earth Hour” is a symbolic act in which governments, companies and the population around the world are invited to demonstrate their concern about global warming and climate change.

WWF-Brazil, which organizes the event in the country, invites companies, governments and civil society to turn off their lights for sixty minutes today, the 28th, between 20:30 pm and 21:30 pm.

The project was officially launched in Brazil on January 28th, with the official support of Rio's city government, with Mayor Eduardo Paes announcing the lights would be turned off at landmarks such as Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, the Copacabana beachfront, and Dona Marta Hill. More than 80 countries and nearly 3 cities worldwide are supporting the initiative.

Flamengo supports "Earth Hour" and invites all its fans to join the movement. Join us in this act and invite your friends. The environment increasingly needs our help.
