Once again, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo will actively participate in Earth Hour, a movement organized to raise awareness of the fight against global warming. Showing its commitment to the cause, Flamengo's official website will be offline from 20:30 p.m. to 21:30 p.m. (Brasília time) this Saturday (March 31.03st), the time during which the project takes place.

The movement's organizers are calling for lights to be turned off for one hour, from the simplest homes to the largest monuments. Earth Hour began in 2007, exclusively in Sydney, Australia, but over the years has spread worldwide. This year, the campaign also asks citizens to go "beyond the hour," reflecting on the impacts of their actions on nature. This way, they can adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.

In Rio de Janeiro, important monuments such as Christ the Redeemer, Arcos da Lapa, the Copacabana beachfront, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and others will be without lights during this period. Authorities in São Paulo, Brasília, Manaus, Salvador, Curitiba, Florianópolis, Vitória, Fortaleza, João Pessoa, Belém, and other capitals will also participate in the movement.
