The Deliberative Council of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo approved the new uniform designs for the 18 season on Friday night, December 12th. The soccer team's home and away uniforms feature new details while maintaining traditional lines. The big news was the approval of the third jersey, which the team can wear in official matches. All models feature the CBF logo, a privilege of the previous year's Brazilian champion.

The red-and-black number one jersey was unanimously approved. The white model, which features some innovations, was approved by a large majority. Model three, however, had a higher rejection rate, but was still approved by the majority of council members. The shorts and socks models were also presented, along with the training uniforms and four goalkeeper jersey models.

The models were presented by Olympikus product supervisor Fernando Rocha. "We tried not to drastically change the design of the previous model on the first jersey, as it's a championship jersey, and out of respect for the consumer, so as not to offend fans who recently purchased a jersey."

Following the strategy adopted previously, Flamengo and Olympikus intend to avoid revealing further details about the models, as a measure to combat piracy.
