Flamengo will celebrate mass in honor of Cláudio Coutinho
Rubro-negro will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the death of the legendary coach, who assembled the 'golden generation'

The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo will celebrate a mass, next Monday (28.11), at 17 pm, at the Capela São Judas Tadeu, located on Alameda Paissandu, at the club's headquarters, in Gávea, to remember the 30th anniversary of the death of former coach Cláudio Coutinho.
Legendary not only for Flamengo but for Brazilian football, Coutinho was the father of the "golden generation," taking over the team in 1978 after leaving the Brazilian national team. He had previously played for Flamengo in 1976/77.
He was three-time Carioca champion (78/79/79E), Brazilian champion (1980) and, in total, he commanded the team 266 times, achieving an incredible success rate of 75,06%.
Cláudio Coutinho died on November 27, 1981, while diving in the Cagarras Islands, in Rio de Janeiro.
