Flamengo went ahead and celebrated Easter for its members this Saturday (March 31.03st) at the club's headquarters in Gávea. Children and members were able to enjoy the celebration with a party at the recently renovated Uruba-Urubinha Space. Flamengo's mascots, an entertainment team with a DJ, and, of course, the Easter Bunny were in attendance.
President Patricia Amorim also made a point of attending and delighted those present by helping distribute more than 100 Flamengo chocolate eggs. The president thanked those present and expressed her satisfaction at being able to celebrate this occasion at a completely renovated club.
"I used to play in this playground in '77, and I'm so happy to see that kids today can enjoy a much better space than I had back then. I want to thank everyone who attended another event held especially for you. The club belongs to everyone, and I encourage you to participate and contribute. We're currently renovating and improving Gávea and the training center in Vargem Grande. Our next step is the pool bleachers. The gymnastics and basketball gyms are almost ready, and Togo Soares is working hard to house volleyball and futsal. It's also worth remembering that our ombudsman's office is always open to welcome you," said Patricia.
The vice president of Fla-Gávea and social Cacau Cotta, who organized the event in partnership with the marketing department, was also thrilled with Easter in Gávea.
"It's great to see the Flamengo families, including mine, gathered here today. For me, seeing this completely abandoned playground, now renovated, is a source of satisfaction. It's as if Flamengo had won 5-0 in a final," he declared.
