In three months, the board renegotiates debts with the Government and pays R$40 million in taxes
By Communication - Official website - inOne of the new management's main objectives in rebuilding Clube de Regatas do Flamengo was achieved on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 3. Through a joint effort between the finance and legal departments, the board managed to obtain all debt clearance certificates (CNDs), restoring the institution's credibility with all levels of the Federal, State and Municipal Governments.
Negotiations resolved the settlement of the club's tax debts, especially the largest one, with the National Treasury Attorney General's Office. Thus, Flamengo now has all six tax debts:
- joint certificate of federal taxes and active debt of the Union;
- social security certificate (INSS);
- FGTS regularity certificate;
- negative certificate of labor debts (CNDT);
- certificate of regularity of state taxes;
- certificate of regularity of municipal taxes.
Conversations with the PGFN began on the very day of President Eduardo Bandeira de Mello's inauguration ceremony, December 27th of last year. From then on, the financial strategy, developed by VP of Finance Rodrigo Tostes and VP of Legal Flávio Willeman, began to be implemented by executive directors Paulo Dutra (finance) and Bernardo Accioly (legal), totaling R$40 million in taxes paid today.
Today is a historic day for Flamengo's traditions, as Clube de Regatas do Flamengo reaffirms its promise of efficient and professional management and strengthens its belief in ethical and moral principles. Without a doubt, these principles will put the club back on the path to great victories.
