Flamengo invites 1981 champions
President Patricia Amorim invites Adílio and the group to Flamengo's debut in the Libertadores

The special seats at Maracanã Stadium are expected to feature some of Flamengo's most famous figures this Wednesday night. President Patricia Amorim made a point of inviting Adílio to her office and the club's debut in the Copa Santander Libertadores against Universidad Católica.
"I wanted to extend an invitation to you, which is nothing more than our obligation, our thanks for the 1981 title. I hope you bring good vibes," Patricia Amorim told Adílio.
The eternal star of the No. 8 jersey thanked him. "We are very honored by this invitation, and I thank you on behalf of all the players who played in the Libertadores." Adílio presented a list with the contact details of all the players who live in Rio de Janeiro and participated in the 1981 competition, including reserves like Carlos Alberto and Chiquinho.
"In these three years of management, the athletes and former athletes will be very well treated," Patricia Amorim added, shortly after posing for a photo with the former player in front of a poster of the World Cup. "Where are you in this photo?" the president asked jokingly. "I was celebrating," Adílio replied.
Patricia Amorim said that her main memory of that time was the jokes about the Cobreloa team, the opponent defeated by Flamengo in the 1981 final. "I was 12 years old. At school we called them Cobra Loca. And after the World Cup title, I remember living on Gilberto Cardoso [in a building in the Selva de Pedra condominium, across from the club] and that the party went on until dawn."
