LANCEPRESS!

Before this Sunday's Fla-Flu match, former Flamengo and Fluminense players took part in a get-together at Maracanã. Former players from the Tricolor Machine of 1975/76 faced off against the players who were world champions with the Rubro-Negro. With a festival of beautiful plays, the Flamengo team won 3-1, much to the delight of their fans who arrived at the stadium early.

The graying hair of some and the protruding bellies of others indicated that the game wasn't going to be as fast-paced as it should be. However, the players' technical quality remained razor-sharp, and they put on some beautiful plays.

Tricolor took the lead in the first half. In a risky attack, former defender Duílio won a one-on-one with goalkeeper Paiz and nearly scored.

However, the second half was all red and black. First, Chiquinho launched a ball into the box, Nunes chested it down to Luizinho, who flicked it past goalkeeper Nielsen. Nunes himself scored the second goal after a beautiful move by Júnior in midfield and a pass from Luizinho. Júnior sealed the scoring with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box that went into Nielsen's right corner.

At the end of the match, Adílio, captain of the red-black team, lifted the trophy in the shape of a three-dimensional X with the colors of Flamengo and Fluminense.
