Flamengo and Brahma launch the Bar da Nação project
Themed bar will be built at the Flamengo Museum and will be located on the third floor of the Flamengo headquarters, in Gávea
By By Fernando Vieri - Flamengo Official Website - inFlamengo and Brahma launched the club's themed bar project, entitled Bar da Nação, late Thursday morning (29.11), at the club's headquarters in Gávea. The bar will be built at the Flamengo Museum and the idea is for the space to be a meeting point, entertainment, relaxation and leisure for Mengão fans and associates, as well as tourists, residents and visitors to the Marvelous City.
The event was attended by Patricia Amorim, Alexandre Furtado, president of the Flamengo Museum, and Brahma directors. The Flamengo president, who expressed her enthusiasm for the project, is confident in the Bar da Nação's success.
"The themed bar will be a place where Flamengo families can meet, where fans will have a space to discuss and relive their glorious stories. It will be a meeting and entertainment hub for Flamengo fans," said Patricia Amorim, who thanked the Flamengo Museum Institute and celebrated the partnership with Brahma.
"I want to thank IMFLA, which has the full support of the board of directors. Congratulations on this new achievement, on this new work. We feel very supported by your work. Flamengo continues to be well represented through its museum institute, very well portrayed and cared for. And thank you to all the club departments that made this project a reality. Today we are laying the cornerstone, and we have no problems whatsoever regarding partnerships, let that be clear. Flamengo will not spend any resources it doesn't have. Neither will it take them away from football nor from a budget it doesn't have. We have partners, like Brahma, which is a great partner."
Rafael Pulcinelli, Brahma's national football manager, says that Bar da Nação was designed with the idea of red-and-black fans having a unique product that would take them to the club's headquarters.
"We understood that Gávea presented a great opportunity for the club to do things within the headquarters that would attract Flamengo fans. So this fit in well with the concept of the IMFLA museum, and we have bars in our for-business area. And we understood that we could combine these two things to offer something different to Flamengo fans," says Pulcinelli.
Rafael Rizzo, new business manager, was the last to speak, and he revealed that the space will have a video studio and will explore the concept of audiovisual technology.
"We're bringing a studio to Bar da Nação. From here, we'll be able to provide a wealth of content for the red-and-black nation. Record interviews, broadcast games, bring in stars, and tell the club's story to the nation," Rizzo concluded.
The Bar da Nação will be built on a 900m² area and will have capacity for 450 visitors. Construction is scheduled to begin in December of this year, and the bar is expected to open in April 2013.
