Flamengo and Maracanã expand partnership
Under the new agreement, the higher the gross revenue from ticket sales, the higher the club's profit.
By Communication - Official Club Website - inClube de Regatas do Flamengo and the concessionaire that manages Maracanã Stadium have signed a contract for the club to use the stadium until the end of the year. This means Flamengo will play at least 10 home games at the stadium (including this Thursday's match against Santos) this season, in both the Brazilian Championship and the Copa do Brasil. Should the team advance in the latter competition, future matches will also be covered by the agreement.
It was established that the higher the gross revenue from ticket sales, the higher the club's share of the game's net profit. In other words, the fans will boost Flamengo's revenue at Maracanã.
Flamengo's board of directors and the concessionaire have worked together in recent weeks to develop a contract model that would benefit the club and its fans, while also ensuring the maintenance of the stadium's operational quality.
This is an important step towards building a lasting agreement in the near future.
