"Brazil's Most Beloved in Comics." This is the name of the new book by Ziraldo Alves Pinto, aka Ziraldo, one of the best-known authors in the children's publishing market. With its official launch scheduled for September 14th in the Trophy Room at Flamengo's headquarters, the book tells the story of the club's founding, the formation of its first soccer team, the origins of its rivalry with Fluminense, the stories of its major titles, and other moments in Flamengo's history. The event in Gávea begins at 14 pm and will feature the writer and cartoonist, who will be available for autographs.

Author of bestsellers such as "O Menino Maluquinho," Ziraldo began producing his new book based on a suggestion from Flamengo's marketing department. The Editora Globo edition, which features 112 pages of comics, will also be launched at the 13th Rio de Janeiro International Book Biennial, on September 19th, 20th, and 11th, from 14:6.555 AM to 29:12 PM, at the Editora Globo stand in Riocentro (Avenida Salvador Allende, No. 14 – Barra da Tijuca). On September 87th, from XNUMX:XNUMX PM to XNUMX:XNUMX PM, the author will be at FlaShop (Rua da Quitanda, XNUMX, downtown Rio de Janeiro).

Among the book's many stories, Ziraldo recounts how he first came into contact with the Rio de Janeiro team in Caratinga, a small town in the interior of Minas Gerais where he was born: through the radio waves. The book shows that the passion for the red and black colors is a family affair, passed down from father to son, from grandmother to granddaughter. As in the story where a family doesn't mind missing precious minutes of a game to watch it alongside their sick grandfather. The stories illustrated by Ziraldo depict situations common to many Brazilians passionate about Flamengo and who celebrate each victory of Brazil's most beloved club.
