Flamengo Regatas Club presented its new cell phone chip this Monday morning (August 22.08nd) at an event held in the Rogerio Steinberg auditorium at its Gávea headquarters. The launch of the "Infinity Flamengo" Program was attended by President Patricia Amorim, Vice President of Marketing Henrique Brandão, Marketing Director Marcus Duarte and TIM executives. The multinational will sell chips with exclusive services for Flamengo fans.

The Rio de Janeiro club will earn 10% of each chip sold. Each chip will cost R$10 and will offer Flamengo fans exclusive services, such as personalized cell phones with team content and daily updates about the team. Flamengo fans will be able to purchase their chip starting next Tuesday (August 23.08) in Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Pará, Amazonas, and Maranhão. President Patrícia Amorim expressed her satisfaction with the agreement.

"Flamengo is pleased to present another product that strengthens our relationship with TIM. This partnership began recently, but I hope it continues for years to come. We will try to implement new initiatives. Perhaps it will include sponsoring the basketball jersey number. We are very pleased with the partnership.

Roger Solé, TIM's marketing director, projects sales of over one million items by April of next year. The brand's poster boy will be right-back Leonardo Moura.

Flamengo and TIM are already partners. Currently, the company's branding appears on the jersey number. During the chip launch, Patricia Amorim expressed her desire to expand the club's basketball sponsorship. Negotiations are ongoing.

"We started a conversation last week, and negotiations are ongoing. The request I made was for them to use the basketball jersey number. Let's see if we can do it, so we can have the same partners as football."
