The new sponsorship contract between Flamengo and Triunfo Logística was signed Tuesday night at the Gávea headquarters. The brand will be featured on the shoulder of the professional football team's jersey, as well as on the beach soccer and futsal teams' jerseys.

Present at the signing were the president Patricia Amorim, Jorge Rodrigues, club advisor and partner in the company, and the vice president of marketing, Henrique Brandão.

"The name is quite suggestive. Triumph is necessary for a team to remain competitive and in the spotlight. We are working to achieve many triumphs," said the club president, revealing that the team will debut the new jersey in Wednesday's match against Ponte Preta in Campinas.

Council member Jorge Rodrigues explained how his company became interested in sponsoring Flamengo.

"I was at a trade show in the United States and realized that our company needed to be known in the oil and gas market. And there's nothing better than Flamengo to promote our name. We contacted the club and their marketing department suggested the shoulder of the jersey as a sponsor. We were very pleased and are certain that it will be a great partnership," he concluded.

The contract will run until December 31, 2012.
