Flamengo sends congratulatory letter to Barack Obama

Flamengo Regatta Club, through its president, Patricia Amorim, sent a congratulatory letter to the White House on Wednesday (07.11). Addressed to the President of the United States, Barack Obama, the document praises his victory at the polls.
Obama visited Flamengo during his visit to Rio de Janeiro, in March 2011. The US president used the facilities of Brazil's Most Beloved as a base for his delegation and met with President Patricia Amorim on the lawn of the professional football field.
During his time with the Flamengo president, Obama received a jersey with his name on it as a gift. This year, the US president's wife, Michelle Obama, cordially sent Flamengo a letter of thanks for the treatment they received at the club and for the gifts given to the family.
