On Monday (2), another step in the restructuring of the club's assets was taken. At the Gávea headquarters, the mini-court "Craque o Flamengo faz em casa" (Flamengo's Craze at Home) was inaugurated. Located in the space previously occupied by the bocce court, the new facility focuses on young children and encourages them to practice different sports and allow children to choose the sport they most identify with.

In a ceremony attended by the club's Vice President of Olympic Sports, Alexandre Póvoa, past bocce players were celebrated, as well as the construction of the future through sports education.

"The idea here is for children to begin sports differently than usual, where parents choose the sport they will learn. Here, children can experience each sport and then move forward according to their tastes and talents. This place is very important in the club's history, and that's why we couldn't inaugurate this mini-court without paying tribute to Flamengo's bocce. We can't think about the future without valuing the past," said Póvoa.

The new course offered by the Sempre Flamengo Sports Schools (EESF), the Basic Sports School, will be offered at the mini-court. Children aged five to seven will be introduced to five different sports: volleyball, futsal, basketball, swimming, and tennis. They can choose their favorite based on their development, aptitude, and appreciation. Classes will have a maximum of ten children, ensuring special attention for each student, who will be evaluated daily and every six months.
