Late in the afternoon of this Monday (26.09), Flamengo launched its ombudsman service, created to be the direct communication channel between members and fans and the club. A campaign promise of president Patricia Amorim, the service will be provided 24 hours a day, through letters, telephone and internet.
Valuing transparency in the current administration and improving service to the nation, the service promises to be a success among red-black fans.
"This is another campaign promise fulfilled. It took a little longer than we would have liked, especially because we needed to reformulate and adjust a number of issues to ensure the project worked as we envisioned. The ombudsman's office will be an indispensable tool in bringing the club closer to its greatest asset: its fans. Members often don't know where or how to ask a question, and now, with the creation of this channel, they'll know where to take their query, request, or suggestion. Everything will reach the right place. We, the Board of Directors, will also be able to monitor this entire process more closely. After all, that's what we're here for," said Patricia Amorim, extending a special thanks to Judge Siro Darlan.
"I would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Siro Darlan, one of the biggest enthusiasts of this movement. And I also take this opportunity to honor him by naming this new space in the club – Siro Darlan Ombudsman," he added.
Fans can access the ombudsman's office through the club's official website, by phone at (021) 3722-0230 and through letters addressed to Av. Borges de Medeiros, nº997, Lagoa, Rio de Janeiro, CEP: 22430-041. For in-person service, members/fans simply need to go to the ombudsman's office at Flamengo's headquarters.
