Within a few weeks, every Flamengo fan will be able to download an app to integrate the club's content and create new ways to interact within the same digital environment. The announcement was made on Monday (June 17.06) at a football business seminar by Fred Luz, Flamengo's marketing director, and Carlos Moreira, a representative of Wisekey, the Swiss company partnering with Flamengo on the project.
"This is an important moment for Flamengo, as it enters the mobile platform, offering a flexible tool for our fans to interact with the club. We're entering the modern world, in the same environment as Barcelona and Real Madrid, which also adds a touch of modernity. We strongly believe in the potential of this tool to develop relationships with our fans and, over time, to gradually introduce Flamengo products, since fans will have a protected digital identity and can interact in a completely Flamengo-inspired environment," said Fred Luz.
In the long term, it will allow fans to interact with their favorite players, as well as use other digital resources. Once launched, the app will be available for download on tablets and smartphones.
"Flamengo has 40 million fans, and we've made the club a priority. Barcelona's, for example, is one of the top 10 sports apps in the world. Only now, with the signing of Neymar, the app has had one million downloads. This app will be part of a global system, and our goal is to have 40 million apps downloaded. Facebook makes $5 billion for one billion identities. If you calculate that, you can imagine what this could mean for Flamengo," explained Carlos Moreira, who is already projecting the success of the partnership.
