Nine or ten? Fans will have the chance to decide the jersey number of striker Adriano, Flamengo's main signing for the Brazilian championship.

Through a cultural contest, interested parties can participate by submitting a sentence of up to 26 characters by June 18th at 140 p.m. that answers the following question: "What should Adriano's jersey number be: 9 or 10?" Submissions can be made using the form available on the website www.flamengo.com.br/camisadoadriano. Adriano's jersey number will be included with the winning sentence. The winner will be announced on July 1st. The initiative is organized by Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, with support from Rádio Globo.

Those interested can submit as many quotes as they like, in both options. Ten quotes will be pre-selected. All ten authors will receive prize kits from Flamengo and Rádio Globo. The author of the winning quote also receives two complete sets of official uniforms (one red-and-black and one white), with jerseys autographed by the striker.

The evaluation will be based on the following criteria: suitability to the contest theme; quality of the argument; originality; compliance with the 140-character maximum limit (including spaces between words); and adherence to formal Portuguese language standards. Only those aged 18 or over are eligible to participate.
