Flamengo releases DVD of the Sixth Championship

It's not enough to celebrate the title; you have to immortalize the moments. That's why the best moments of Flamengo's sixth championship are now gathered in the special DVD "Flamengo Hexacampeão Brasileiro 2009," which Globo Marcas and Editora Globo are releasing this month. The DVD will be available at newsstands throughout Brazil, on the Globo Marcas website (www.globomarcas.com), and on Flamengo's online store (www.mundoflamengo.com.br) for R$19,90.
One of the key figures in this victorious journey, coach Andrade expressed his joy upon learning of the DVD's release. A four-time champion as a player with Flamengo in the 80s, he hadn't had the opportunity to have an official product like this to show his family or to immortalize his beautiful plays with that squad.
"It's recognition of the work everyone did here last year. Without any vanity, it's a source of pride for me, as I was already a champion with Flamengo four times as a player. It's something that immortalizes the achievement. I'll be extremely pleased to show this to my family," said Andrade.
Tromba, the coach's nickname since his playing days, also emphasized that he will cherish the DVD of the Hexa even more, as it was his first competition as coach of the main team.
"Many have won here at Flamengo as players. However, as coaches, I think only myself and Carpeggiani (Paulo César, who was a champion as both a coach and a player) have. It was a great achievement. He deserves to have recognition like this," concludes the coach, who has a special appearance on the DVD, giving an interview.
In addition to the chat with Andrade, on the DVD of the sixth championship, fans will be able to revisit the victorious trajectory of the red-black team during the competition, which culminated in the victory that had been awaited for 17 years.
There are also interviews with stars Petkovic, Ronaldo Angelim, and former player Júnior. The extras include never-before-seen clips with the players and a selection of the ten most beautiful goals, as well as those scored in Flamengo's other five Brazilian titles.
