Following its success on Twitter and Facebook, Flamengo launched its official page this week on Orkut, a social media platform that has been a hit among Brazilians for several years. Following a redesign of the social network, Brazil's Most Beloved created its official space, where it can have an even closer relationship with its greatest asset: the Nation.

Users who participate in Flamengo's official Orkut page can win prizes such as official jerseys and many other licensed club products. Promotions, as on other social media platforms where the club is present, will be frequent. Additionally, an exclusive badge will soon be available for fans to use on their personal profiles. The badge will be available in a limited edition and will be available to the first to install it.
"This will be another channel we have to communicate with our fans. We know that our fan base is the only one in Brazil that is spread throughout the entire country, not restricted to being strong in just one region or state. We imagine that it will be the same on the internet. We couldn't be restricted to just two social networks, because, according to recent studies, the number of Brazilian users on Orkut and Facebook is still similar," said Flamengo's Vice President of Marketing Henrique Brandão.
