Flamengo vs Corinthians on the tracks in August

The first race of the Superleague Formula, a category that combines soccer teams and motorsport, has already been set. The doubleheader will take place on August 30th and 31st at Donington Park in England. Flamengo and Corinthians are the Brazilian clubs participating in the category, which also includes Milan and Porto, among other world-renowned clubs.

Recently, Donington also signed with the FIA ​​to host the British Formula One Grand Prix starting in 2010, replacing Silverstone. It was there that Ayrton Senna achieved one of his most famous victories in 1993, in pouring rain.

Superleague Formula has not yet announced who will be the drivers of the 13 cars competing in the competition.

The clubs present in the first Superleague Formula championship are: Flamengo, Corinthians, Milan, Al-Ain, Borussia Dortmund, Basel, Porto, Galatasaray, Olympiacos, PSV, Rangers, Anderlecht and Sevilla.
