Committed to good causes, the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo is one of the participants in the Rio Mais Florido contest, an initiative of the Rio de Janeiro City Hall, which will select the three best flowerbeds in each category (medium – up to 30m2 and large – over 30m2) around Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. José Cardoso, an employee of the Gávea club for over 37 years, is responsible for maintenance. 

In addition to helping make the city even more charming, the top three winners will receive vouchers and a landscaping course at the Botanical Garden. The winners will be announced on October 16th.
