Flamengo hosted, this Wednesday (21.07), the Invisible jiu-jitsu seminar, led by the master and icon of the sport Rickson Gracie. The event, which aimed to prepare for the world championship of the sport, which will take place this Thursday (22.07), at Tijuca Tênis Clube, had the participation of fighters of 15 different nationalities.
And the students learned a lot from the Brazilian master, an international reference in jiu-jitsu.
"The important thing about jiu-jitsu is that it teaches you ways to survive. Winning isn't the priority. The main thing is not to lose. Here, I teach different ways for students to feel comfortable in complicated situations. They need to be prepared for anything. It's very different from being a great jiu-jitsu competitor," said Rickson Gracie.
Considered the most successful member of the legendary Gracie family, Rickson was honored with yet another trophy. The eternal champion left the seminar wearing a personalized official Flamengo jersey.
