President Patricia Amorim received a visit this Monday afternoon from directors of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), who were at the Gávea headquarters to see firsthand all the improvements being made to the club's facilities.
American technical directors Doug Ingram and Leslie Games arrived with their entourage, were received by the Flamengo president, and then proceeded to a visit of about an hour together with the vice-president of Olympic sports, Cristina Callou.
Last December, Flamengo signed a partnership agreement with the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The club will serve as a training center for the American Olympic and Paralympic teams during the Olympics, in the sports where it has facilities.
