Flamengo qualifies first in the Brazilian Fut7 Championship
Mais Querido continues to perform at the top of the game; the second phase still has no set date.
By Communication - Official Club Website - inFlamengo concluded its participation in the first phase of the Brazilian Fut7 Championship by qualifying first in its group. After a loss in its opening match, the club won its other two matches. With that, the Mais Querido now awaits the results of the other groups to determine its opponent.
The red-and-black team's coach, José Moraes, didn't hide his satisfaction with the squad, even after the first-round scare. "We finished first, and that's what's important. We dominated the first match, but poor marking and the poor quality of the pitch hurt us. We were unlucky. Now, we've got our team sorted out and we're ready for the next stage. The whole group is doing well, in great physical shape," said the coach.
Flamengo's next game will be on Thursday at 21 p.m. against Rio de Janeiro. The match will be part of the Rio Cup, a championship played concurrently with the Brazilian Championship, where Flamengo is also the leader. As for the national championship, the Mais Querido doesn't yet have a date for its next match.
