Flamengo sells 1,1 million Olympikus shirts in just 5 months
The contract with the sports brand began on July 1st and reached a historic record.
By VIPCOMM (photos and text) - inFlamengo has sold 1.101.259 Olympikus jerseys since the contract between the six-time Brazilian champion and the sports brand began on July 1. The number was updated this Tuesday at 12:11 p.m. and is an absolute record in Brazilian football.
\Sales were boosted by the club's surge in recent months, the title win on Sunday, and the fan response to the brand's new uniform and casualwear line. Another important factor is the distribution of Flamengo's official line: Olympikus has 15.000 points of sale across the country, allowing it to reach a larger number of fans quickly.
\"This number is spectacular and proves how right the decision to change sports brands was. More than just a supplier of materials or a mere sponsor, Olympikus has worked in absolute synergy with Flamengo, investing in the enhancement of the club's brand," highlights Flamengo's Executive Director of Marketing, Ricardo Hinrichsen.
\In addition to the record, the brand's relationship with the club has already led to the opening of Fla Concept in Gávea, the largest club store in Latin America, and the launch of the Flamengo Museum complex, which will be a new tourist attraction in Rio de Janeiro.
\"The opening of the Fla Concept megastore, the construction of the Museum, the speed in meeting the demands of the club and the consumer with quality and, no less important, the actions to support the fans that made the party at Maracanã even more beautiful, are examples that show that Olympikus understands the dimension of the club and is the partner that Flamengo and its fans deserve," concludes Hinrichsen.
\An example that illustrates the speed of service was the creation, production, and distribution of the championship's commemorative shirt, the "Hexa na Raça." The product began to be sold and distributed nationwide on Monday, the day after the match at Maracanã.
\"Olympikus arrived at Flamengo with the determination to be different, to innovate and serve not only the club, but especially its fans, which are the largest in the world. The fan's receptiveness shows that we are on the right track and confirms a historic moment for the club, which is experiencing a new era. Olympikus certainly still has much to contribute to this new era," said Tullio Formicola Filho, Sports Marketing Director at Vulcabras Azaleia Group and responsible for managing the contract between the company and the club.
