On Monday afternoon (23.12), the end-of-year celebration of the club's employees took place at the rowing headquarters, on the club's holiday. The party included a barbecue, cold beer and a raffle of dozens of gifts.

At the tables, guests celebrated the end of another year of hard work and dedication for Flamengo. Human Resources Manager João Quintanilha praised the event.

"It's a great party, a celebration, everyone is happy and joyful. We've closed out the first year of this new board with great achievements, and everyone is excited. We'll definitely have a promising 2014. That's what we're celebrating here," he said.

President Eduardo Bandeira de Mello attended the meeting and welcomed those who were part of the first year of the new board of directors of Mais Querido.

"First of all, I'd like to thank you all for coming. I'd especially like to thank you for the dedication you've shown for Flamengo throughout 2013. We're in this together; we still face difficulties, but we're all working hard to overcome them. I think we're succeeding, and I'm sure 2014 will be even better than 2013, with many victories for Mengão, here in Lagoa, on the field, on the court, in the pool. Everything is the result of your work. Thank you very much, a Merry Christmas to everyone and a 2014 full of victories," he declared.

Before the party ended, Alexandre Petroni, director of Fla-Gávea, announced the raffle for prizes, which included official club merchandise, as well as appliances and four 42-inch plasma televisions donated by former football manager Anderson Barros. Petroni himself won one of the televisions in the raffle, which he donated to the staff cafeteria at the Gávea headquarters. Tupiara Lores, who has worked at the club for 12 years, also won one of the televisions.

"I'm very happy, I was looking forward to it. When they said my name, I couldn't believe it! I'm going to spend Christmas seeing all the good things. The party was amazing, wonderful," he celebrated.
