Rio de Janeiro - After a bye in the last round and two weeks of training, Flamengo returns to action this Thursday in the Metropolitano de Futsal. The red-and-black team will play its first match at the Ginásio Hélio Maurício, against Piedade. And to make a good impression in its return to the traditional winning stadium, coach Cid Escarlate's team has been training hard at Bradesco. Flamengo's goal is to secure a good victory to erase the memory of the 6-1 thrashing they suffered against Vassouras in the second round of the Metropolitano. One of Cid Escarlate's biggest concerns in this match was the absence of several players. For tomorrow's match, however, the Red-and-Black team should be at full strength. The doubt is winger Saulo, with a thigh injury. "I trained well on Monday, and today we'll have the last training session before the game to see if I'm fit enough to play. I hope so," says the number 7. A win could leave Mengo in second place, as tomorrow night's other match is between Petrópolis and Vassouras, the group's leaders and runners-up, respectively. Grajaú has a bye this round. "It's a good opportunity for us to reclaim our place at the top of the group and prove our strength. Regardless of the difficulties, we want to do our best."
