By - in

OG 4, a group initially formed by the clubs: Botafogo, Corinthians, Flamengo and São Paulo, meeting in São Paulo on September 11, 2008, declares the following:

1. At the meeting we had a productive and thought-provoking discussion about the sports industry, its political implications, socio-economic issues and our plans for the future.

2. We come together because we share characteristics, beliefs, and responsibilities. Each of us is responsible for working to ensure that our respective clubs achieve the best sporting, economic, and social results. We are responsible for developing the sports industry to the fullest, in a transparent and democratic manner, contributing to the country's growth and generating jobs and income. Our success will strengthen Brazilian football, and each of us is responsible for ensuring that sport is a driver of prosperity and a tool for the integral development of the human person.

3. To ensure the best technical, economic and social results from our activity, we will strive to maintain an ongoing dialogue and intend to jointly make decisions regarding the commercialization of our properties, such as the marketing, advertising, capture, exhibition and broadcast rights for our games.

4. We are committed to collaborating with the CBF for the development of Brazilian football. We are confident that our activities are not incompatible with its organization. We are certain that together we can contribute to working on important issues such as the calendar, the tax regime for clubs, the protection of athletes in development and their training clubs, the exodus of our athletes abroad, among others.

5. We intend to intensify our cooperation among the G4 members themselves and with all entities and institutions, public and private, to discuss and resolve our problems.

6. We will focus our efforts on negotiations and market studies capable of leveraging underexplored products, such as those related to new media, the internet, mobile telephony, naming rights, and all second-tier sponsorships. We are convinced that the G4 can play an important role in the development and promotion of these products. 7. We believe that cooperation with other clubs is essential to achieving the best economic results. Therefore, we will seek to expand the G4 to allow the participation of those clubs that share our needs and the conditions to maximize their economic results.

8. The 2014 World Cup, a long-awaited dream of the Brazilian people, will consolidate the aspirations of those who make football the nation's premier sport. We are fully committed to contributing to its best results and will seek to expand our relationship with world football.

This declaration was unanimously approved by the members of the G4, meeting in São Paulo on September 11, 2008.
