Gávea has new areas with free internet access
Members benefit from the transformation of the swimming pool and playground into wireless network zones

Starting today, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo offers members and visitors two areas of its Gávea headquarters as free internet access zones. In the pool and Uruba Urubinha playground areas, members can log into the world wide web via wireless connection. This initiative, implemented by the IT vice president, cost the club nothing.
"The goal is to resolve everything internally at no cost. The club's technology is improving significantly. Flamengo's website and email are more secure, and we achieved this without spending any money. We do everything possible, such as bartering, always trying to use only our own professionals. The goal is to improve the club's technology infrastructure," said Leonardo Tripoli, Flamengo's IT coordinator.
The network, which now reaches the pool and playground, is an extension of the existing network in the common room. This required new equipment, donated by the Fla-Gávea vice-president and administration. The network installation and configuration were all handled by the club's IT technical team. Furthermore, the new free internet zone signs were obtained free of charge from Magic Global, the company that previously produced the signage for the George Helal Training Center, known as Ninho do Urubu.
The training center, in fact, is another area that is being closely monitored by the IT vice-presidency, which has enabled a free internet network for the media outlets that cover daily professional football training sessions.
