The most popular soap opera of recent years and the team with more fans around the world are together once again. On Monday morning (17.09), the Gávea lawn became the stage for recordings of Avenida Brasil. The characters Leandro, played by Thiago Martins, and Suelen, played by Isis Valverde, were present, dressed in the sacred mantle, revealing a little about the future of the plot.

But Flamengo's connection to the soap opera Avenida Brasil is not new. One of the show's main characters, Tufão, played by Murilo Benício, was a star player and champion wearing the sacred mantle.

Thiago Martins, a card-carrying Flamengo fan, almost became a real soccer player and already knows the Gávea pitch well. In a recent interview with Flamengo's Official Website, the actor explained that he had to choose between a career as an actor and a football player: he stayed on stage.

Another character on Avenida Brasil, Iran, played by Bruno Gissoni, has, at least so far, no indication that he will don the sacred mantle in the plot. However, in real life, the actor has already declared his love for the club and was, two months ago, in Gávea to become a member of the Most Beloved in Brazil.

The recordings of Avenida Brasil in Gávea take place this Monday and also on Tuesday, on the lawn of the red-black social headquarters.
