He is 28 years old. On December 13, 1981, Flamengo won the greatest title in its history, the Interclub World Cup, in a match that brought together the South American and European champions in a single match. The title, the first for a Brazilian club since Pelé's Santos in the 60s, came with a beautiful 3-0 victory over Liverpool. The goals were scored by Nunes (2) and Adílio, all in the first half, in a match held at the National Stadium in Tokyo.

Flamengo played with a lineup that would go down in history: Raul, Leandro, Marinho, Mozer, Júnior, Adilio, Andrade, Zico, Tita, Nunes, and Lico. The 1981 Liverpool team arrived in Japan with the status of Europe's leading title winners of the late 70s and early 80s. In the European title game that year, the English team defeated Real Madrid.
