The quiet town of Três Pontas, in the southern region of Minas Gerais, will have a very red-and-black Carnival. Fla-Minas, the official Embassy of the Nation, is in the final stages of preparations for a parade in the town. The theme revolves around winning the 2009 Brazilian championship.

The parade will take place on Carnival Saturday and Tuesday. One of the highlights is a float featuring a 6-meter-tall vulture. The front commission will be composed of girls wearing vulture hats and carrying six stars. The floats will have plaques alluding to the Hexa, and Fla-Minas intends to bring balloons, papel picado, and small flags to the parade, as well as a 40-meter-tall flag from the Embassy.

The group will distribute 550 t-shirts to its members. Those attending the parade will receive gifts such as trumpets, horns, and signs with the message "hexa."

Fla-Minas has been parading since 2004 and the blocks have the support of the City Hall.
