Kléber Leite is spared punishment

Following the success of the trials of Fábio Luciano and Aírton, Flamengo's lawyer, Michel Asseff Filho, also cleared vice president of football, Kléber Leite, of any punishment. The director was unanimously acquitted this Wednesday.

Kléber had been reported under article 188 (Disrespectful or offensive statements against members of the National Sports Council (CNE); the powers of sports entities or the Sports Court, and against referees or assistants due to their duties, or threatening them) for having tried to invade the pitch to complain to referee Felipe Gomes, in the match between Flamengo and Resende, for the semi-final of the Guanabara Cup.

If punished, Kléber Leite could be suspended for 30 to 180 days and would not be able to answer for Flamengo's football during this period.
