Following the lead of the renowned American newspaper, the New York Times, it was now the turn of the French newspaper L'Equipe to publish an interview with Patricia Amorim. Highlighting the Flamengo president's entire swimming career and her love for the club, to which she has dedicated almost her entire life, the publication traces the Flamengo president's trajectory thus far.

Among the praise, L'Equipe highlights Flamengo's turnaround, which saw them battle relegation in the 2010 Brasileirão and win the 2011 State Championship undefeated. Furthermore, the French newspaper lists Patricia Amorim as the second most influential woman in Brazil, as she presides over the club, which has a fan base known as the "Nação" (Nation).

But the report wasn't all praise. The manager's off-field issues last season were also addressed and treated as a key factor in this year's response. After all, as a long-distance runner, Patricia Amorim managed to excel when everyone thought she'd run out of steam.
