President Marcio Braga met today with FIFA's Chief Legal Officer, Mr. Marco Villiger, at the organization's headquarters in Zurich.

Among the topics discussed, concern about the risk to athletes' lives during games at extreme altitudes stands out.

Mr. Villiger explained that the FIFA Executive Committee decided to request the Medical Commission to conduct a detailed study on football matches in extreme conditions (altitude, temperature, etc.) so that the organization can make a definitive decision on the issue for all professional football matches worldwide.

The study is expected to be ready before the next Executive Committee meeting, scheduled for December this year.
