A European who has lived in Brazil for 11 years created a hit about the German national team's uniform in honor of Flamengo.

During the World Cup in Brazil, Flamengo was mentioned several times by the German national team. In addition to Podolski and Schweinsteiger wearing the Sacred Mantle, the team's second uniform was a jersey inspired by the Rubro-Negro, which generated high demand for the Germans' second uniform.

The current world champion's association with Flamengo even led to a German funk song. During the World Cup, MC Gringo released the song "Deutscher Fussball ist geil", which in plain Portuguese means "German Football is Cool." The song, which became known as "Totalmente Boladão," went viral in an unimaginable way and brought fame to the German composer.

Bernhard Weber Ramos de Lacerda, or MC Gringo, was born in Germany and moved to Brazil 11 years ago. Despite having lived in Minas Gerais for some time before moving to Rio de Janeiro, the singer had no doubts when it came to choosing the team he would support in his new country. "The first person who gave me the space to sing here in Brazil was Júnior, a former Flamengo player. I had already heard about the club and its size, but from that moment on, I knew I couldn't support any team other than the Rubro-Negro," said Bernhard.

According to the singer, the song and the German jersey have made Flamengo even more famous internationally. "When I first saw the German kit, I already imagined what would happen, but the result was far beyond my expectations. Interest in Flamengo has grown significantly around the world, mainly due to the marketing, which was very well done. So much so that German fans are very interested in keeping the away kit red and black, as they were lucky," said MC Gringo.

A regular at Maracanã to watch "Mais Querido," Bernhard doesn't hide his joy in supporting Flamengo and his support for coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo. "I'm very grateful for what Flamengo has given me. I come to Maracanã whenever I can, and it's amazing. I was there for decisive moments in the Copa do Brasil last year, and it was excellent. I believe we'll experience moments like that again soon. A new coach always brings a different energy, and I believe Luxemburgo has a strong connection with the club, and that's very important," concluded the singer, wearing a Mengão jersey.
