The player was accompanying his fiancée Juliane, who gave birth to Guilherme on Monday night. The athlete had to be at the airport at 22:30 PM (Brasília time), but managed to be by his partner's side for the birth of their first child, at 21:55 PM, at a clinic in Laranjeiras. "It was the most exciting thing I've ever experienced in my life. It was worth all the rush. Guilherme was born at almost 22 PM, and I had to be at the airport at 22:30 PM. My father rushed me, and I made it in time for boarding. I'll take the field against Goiás feeling lighter and happier than ever. Seeing my son being born and the happiness of my wife and parents gave me the strength to play even better," said the midfielder, who is with the group in the capital of Goiás. Everton is only 20 years old, but he assures he's prepared for the double responsibility he'll have from now on. "I'm a family man now. I'm still young, but I'm aware that I'll have to be increasingly professional and responsible for my actions. Unfortunately, I'm not at my son and wife's side right now, but that's because I play for one of the biggest football clubs in the country. In other words, I have no reason to be sad. I've already seen my son born, now I want to help Flamengo win again," he said.
