One of the most charming spots at the Flamengo Regatta Club headquarters, the Fadel Fadel Aquatic Park is getting better every day. The most frequented spot by members, according to a survey conducted last month, the pool complex is improving its reputation every day. Thanks to minor renovations already completed two months into the new board's administration.

Walking through the Aquatic Park, you notice that joy and high spirits are once again reflected on the faces of both patrons and employees. A regular at Gávea since 1973, Francisco Albertino, known as Moraes, reveals that he is one of those who approves of the priority given to the park.

"The club's spirit is different. Members are returning to swimming. Professional trainers are arriving at Flamengo, and this is happening thanks to our president, Patrícia Amorim. She reorganized everything because she knows and understands the club's day-to-day operations," said Moraes.

And to continue progressing, the current board continues to pay attention to even the smallest details. Minor issues were fixed at Fadel Fadel, such as the stainless steel staircase installed to help children and the elderly access the communal pool. Additionally, tables (50), chairs (200), and umbrellas (60) were replaced. However, one of the most anticipated renovations is the bathrooms. But members needn't worry, as this will be completed this Wednesday (March 31.03st).

Another positive point raised by Fadel Fadel pool users was the change in chlorine. Previously, liquid chlorine was used, which irritated the eyes of members and athletes and left an unpleasant odor. Nowadays, chlorine tablets are used, which do not present any of the aforementioned problems.

There are also plans to renovate the roof of pool two, which will house the water polo and synchronized swimming equipment, as well as protect the school teachers from the sun.

"I consider the pools to be in excellent condition today. Furthermore, I don't face any problems like crowded lanes," said partner José Joaquim de Brito.

And while members are happy with the improvements, the Water Park employees are no exception. With their salaries and vacation pay up to date, they previously worked as day laborers. Under the current model, everyone works on a shift basis, which makes everyone happier.

"Today, employees have more freedom to take care of their personal affairs and are less overwhelmed. Therefore, work is more productive," concluded Silvio Souza Silva, supervisor of the water park.
