Flamengo remains steadfast in its pursuit of its second title in the Otávio Pinto Guimarães Junior Tournament. On Wednesday, the team defeated Villa Rio 3-0 at Ninho do Urubu, finishing the first stage with nine wins in ten matches. The only setback was a loss to Nova Iguaçu.
The goals were scored by Willian Amendoim, Diego Oliveira, and Vânder. The latter scored with a beautiful volley.
Flamengo, who finished first in Group A, now faces Sendas in the quarterfinals. The first game takes place Saturday in São João de Meriti.
