Dear Mr. Carlos Arthur Nuzman,

I am using this email to congratulate the COB on choosing Rio as the host city for the 2016 Olympics.

It must be recognized that this victory is largely due to his tireless efforts since his candidacy in 2004.

Now is the time to get down to work so that structural interventions can be made, not only in the city of Rio de Janeiro, but also in national sports policy.

It is essential to strengthen and improve the Brazilian sports training structure, supporting clubs and promoting sports in schools.

Flamengo is aware of its responsibility and is ready to not only continue training Olympic athletes, but also contribute to the formulation of a sports policy capable of more intelligently allocating public resources already allocated to Olympic sports and seeking new revenues to complement them.
