Dear President Lula

On behalf of myself and Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, I have the pleasure and honor to thank you for granting TIMEMANIA to the football clubs of Brazil.

After a long journey of struggles that began in January 2004, when, in the first week of my term, I requested that the State promote the fiscal realignment of Brazilian football, we were finally victorious.

I want to emphasize that the clubs' fair victory is largely due to their political will, which allowed us to overcome institutional barriers and circumvent bureaucratic constraints.

Thank you.

Your government, the one that has done the most for sport in our entire history, had the competence to organize an intelligent credit recovery program, with which we paid off our debt without a single cent of Treasury resources.
