The Council of Great Benefactors of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo publicly expresses its support to the Board of Directors, and especially to Mr. President Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, for the actions they develop to modernize football in the State and the country, enabling profitable competitions and tournaments.

The Council of Great Benefactors recognizes the excellence of the project and supports the modernization process aimed at enabling Flamengo to participate in championships that are commensurate with its stature and fan base. Therefore, it understands that the participation of the Liga Sul-Minas Rio is one of many that could be created, in accordance with current sports legislation.

It expresses its total repudiation of the unspeakable statements made against these attitudes, labeling them as "militia actions", as if Flamengo, with 120 years of glory, were capable of adopting such behavior.
