Clube de Regatas do Flamengo mourns the death of former player Aníbal, three-time Rio de Janeiro champion with the club in 1955. The former Flamengo goalkeeper died of a heart attack at the age of 79 in the city of Brodowski, in the interior of São Paulo.

Aníbal participated in 11 games in the 1955 State Championship. The former goalkeeper was a starter from the seventh to the 17th round of the competition, losing his position to the Argentine Chamorro, who played in the final stretch of the championship.
 
In addition to the state title, Aníbal also won the Rio de Janeiro International Tournament in 1955, when he participated in the 3-0 victory over Independiente of Argentina on December 30. The goalkeeper played 25 matches for Flamengo, winning 17 and drawing 3, conceding 29 goals.
