It is with immense regret that Clube de Regatas do Flamengo announces the death of Father Benedito.

The wake and Funeral Mass are scheduled for 15 pm this Tuesday (03.07), at the Church of Santo Cristo, where he was Parish Priest. The burial is scheduled for 17 pm, at the Caju Cemetery.

Father Benedito became known for blessing Flamengo's professional team on the feast day of Saint Jude Thaddeus, the patron saint of the most beloved club. Flamengo will send an official flag to the ceremony.
