Due to the latest news published in the press about a possible start of negotiations between Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and the player Elias, the Vice-Presidency of Football informs that it is awaiting the result of the lawsuit filed by the player in court against Sporting Clube de Portugal before making any statement.

Therefore, we clarify that there are currently no negotiations underway with the player and/or his representatives.

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo makes it clear that it respects the legal process of the Sports Court, as well as the contract signed directly with Sporting Clube de Portugal.

Finally, we inform you that Flamengo, in order to make its position regarding the case clear, is sending a letter to the board of directors of Sporting Clube de Portugal recording the above.
