The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo vehemently repudiates the article published today in the newspaper Tribuna da Imprensa by Mr. Helio Fernandes, making reference to a “manifesto” prepared by Councilor Paulo Cesar Ferreira against the Gávea Revitalization Program.

This is a very important undertaking for Flamengo and deserves to be treated with seriousness, transparency and responsibility.

The Board of Directors has been seeking to respond to and clarify all doubts, fears and criticisms of this Program, which is in the final stages of analysis by several technical committees and will be submitted to the Deliberative Council for final approval.

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo will take appropriate administrative and legal measures to punish those responsible for frivolous and misleading publications that have a single interest: to harm Flamengo.
