In order to keep its members and fans well informed regarding the incident that occurred with the lighting towers at the Ilha do Urubu stadium, in the early hours of last Thursday, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, basing its conduct on transparency and seriousness of its actions, hereby provides the following clarifications:

1) Immediately after the board was notified of the collapse of the two towers, the companies involved in the production, installation, and maintenance of the equipment were contacted. On Thursday, representatives of these companies, accompanied by club directors and technicians, were on site to begin the inspection and subsequent damage assessment.

2) On Friday, those involved were formally notified to take immediate action to repair all damages, including a detailed technical analysis of the possible causes of the incident. Similarly, the two unaffected towers underwent a preliminary assessment, and nothing that could indicate a potential risk of collapse was found.

3) Concomitantly, out of excessive zeal, Flamengo hired an independent expert, renowned in the market, with the aim of preparing a complete technical report on the incident, its causes and consequences.

4) It is not yet possible to confirm when the stadium will be reopened for games. Flamengo reiterates that it, together with its partners, is making every effort to find a solution as quickly as possible that ensures the safety and comfort of all those who visit Ilha do Urubu.

5) It's important to highlight that, when formulating the project and constructing the temporary structures that now form part of the stadium on Governador Island, Flamengo paid close attention to the smallest details regarding the safety and comfort of its fans. Deep drilling was carried out in the local soil to design the tower foundations, and all construction projects were duly certified as having the appropriate ART (Technical Responsibility Note) with CREA/RJ. The stadium was only inaugurated after a rigorous approval and inspection process by a wide range of municipal and state agencies. Furthermore, it's worth noting that the Ilha facilities undergo inspections after each match, all of which are duly documented in their respective reports.

6) It should also be noted that President Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, as soon as he became aware of the incident, contacted the President of the Flamengo Deliberative Council (CODE), Rodrigo Dunshee de Abranches, allowing the CODE works committee to fully monitor all the measures mentioned above.

7) Finally, Flamengo undertakes to make the results of the expert assessment public as soon as it is completed.
